Urgent folding help needed please

Postby clothsister » Sat Aug 30, 2014 2:43 pm

DD2 has the most horrendous nappy rash I have ever seen. I think it's a cross between diarrhea poohs hurting her skin and the fact that since we had DD1 the nappies that we used (sorry to say they are disposables) have now started using the bl##dy drying crystal things. And now my poor dd has a bum so red she is screaming if I go near her. Have decided to let her bum have some air time but she is popping every 10 mins it seems. Only a tiny amount do am trying to fold Muslins into some form of nappy just to keep the explosions in. I don't have enough cloth nappies to last half a day the way she is going and they are all birth to potty so for a wee 7lb 3oz baby they are huge.

Can anyone help. X

Image Image Image Not sure how good it will be for containment but I fold all the corners into the middle then fold in thirds like a prefolds then open top corners out to go round the waist. The nappy lady has others but this was my favourite. X

That's the Jo fold it's the one I always used when you fold it in to 3/4s you can slip a booster under one of the folds.

Pins or a nippa depending in the fabric.

I only used a nippa when he got bigger. Is she doesn't wriggle much I expect a wrap would keep it in place. Never clothed a newborn so don't quote me. X

Wraps should hold it in place without a nippa.
