This is how we folded muslins for Oscar. He had teeny tiny little legs and everything else left big gaps. Even now he's too skinny for most nappies so we use Terry squares. Blueberry mini wraps are brilliant for teeny legs.

I agree with what the others say, pockets weren't the best when he was really tiny (born just of 6lbs and dropped to about 5.5 lbs). Two parters worked best and would second diddy diapers, bimbles etc. I also made my own NB nappy which fitted just beautifully and still fits now on the biggest setting at 4.5 months if you can sew. Mother ease Sandy's XS fitted reasonably quickly and he has only just moved out of them now at 4 months. Baby Beehind wraps also work well for us as well as the others mentioned (ME, Nature Babies) and of course wool.
