I have never used nappy washing powder. I used to use 1/2 a tab of Omo with Louis. I now use Bold 2 in 1 which is the only softner that can be used on nappies and I live in a hard water area so that suits us.

I've used tots bots and Eco
Sprout and found that the "reccomended amount" just wasn't enough rendering it far far to expensive! Ive now used about 50ml of lidls own bio powder for about 9 months and not had any problems since. X

I'm led to believe that liquid detergent isn't as good for your machine as powder, as it leaves more of a build up.

Be one thing I know for certain is that your need to avoid conditioners as they end up leaving a coating on your nappies which limits their absorbancy.

Def use powder for nappies. I use one Lidl formil 2-1 tab :)

Never used any specific cloth nappy powders, i think they are just an extra expense when i can use one powder for all my washing ;)
