3 weeks...no smells at all. pooey ones too...60 wash...all fine and perfect.

OTOH a friend left hers in a bucket for a couple of weeks when washing got too much and she'd forgotten about them and they went mouldy - irreparably so :? So honestly don't risk more than a week maximum I'd say...

my mil doesn't understand the wet bag and will always wrap nappies or wet or dirty clothes in a plastic carrier bag. my kids have been there on saturday, i have just popped the plastic bag she gave me into the laundry basket and my monday afternoon the contents was mouldy beyond repair :( perhaps the difference is that my nappy 'bucket' s actually a pedal bin, so the seal on the lid (tho it keeps out smells) is not tight like a bucket?

Could be - she was using a bucket with a tightly fitting lid so was probably sealed...

My 'nappy bucket' is also a pedal bin so while smell proof is almost certainly not air-tight...

Our nursery don't understand the wet-bags either...
