I've never turned any of mine inside out, but the outside is the bit I want to show off (on bum or on the line  )

The only things I turn inside out are the night nappies - WNNN and UDNN etc. Not really a pocket but similar in the way that you take all the stuffing out. I turn them inside out when I hang them out and then after a while I turn them back in the right way. Otherwise the elastic takes forever to dry.

But no, normal pockets like BG etc I just leave in the right way. Although I guess if you are hanging outside, it might help the colour not to fade if they are inside out?
