are reusables hotter than disposibles in the summer ?

Me too! And finnish br pul is much more thinner and flexible than eny other that i have seen!

there was a study done that proved there was over a degree's difference in temperature between disposables and cloth with a plastic wrap, and i think they were using relatively cheap plastic pants... so cloth is definitely best all year round!!!!! esp. if you have a boy as their bits need to be kept cool

Here is an old news article, I don't think any more recent studies have been done and I think it only looked at natural fibre reusables so certainly what people have said about fitteds and wool would be the best way to go.

Cloth nappies with breathable covers allow some evaporation, and this has a cooling effect. Some fairly recent research took the temperature inside nappies - both washables and reusables. The temperature inside a cloth nappy with a PUL wrap was at least 1ºC lower than a disposable, and wool and fleece wraps reduced the temperature even further.
Tell her to think about what it feels like to wear a plastic coat in a rain storm in summer! Plastic seals in the heat, and allows no evaporation at all!!!
