You would spend more than a fiver a week on sposies - this way you still get to use your cloth  Not sure how many nappies you have, or how big a laundrette washing machine is, but could you build up your white washing and nappies for 3-4 days and get a full load out of it for the laundrette? I always washed Evies nappies in with the whites.

And dont feel bad about needing a break from it - washing never ends in my house, I have a big capacity machine, still manage 3 washes a day and am sure the bedsheets havent been washed in at least a fortnight - there are days I wonder if Im washing for the neighbours too. Its can seem never ending and can get you down, so you need to do what you can to make things easier on you - whether that be sposies or the laundrette

It is easy to feel overwhelmed when you have a lot on your plate.
We use sposies part-time, and cloth part-time, and I find that even then I have weeks when I can't cope with one more chore...
Just do what you feel you must do to stay sane!!! Happy is a whole new ball game, but comes with sanity, I find...

  As pp's have said. The launderette washers will be larger and probably more effective so the rinses etc won't be such an issue. And you would spend the money on sposies so why not give it a try to see if it helps?

Don't feel bad. Sounds like it is tough without proper water supply and washing machine. I don't know how older generations coped without automatic washing machines

Still use just a fraction of the washing powder, and Im sure they will be fine. If you find they do get a build up of washing powder, then perhaps once a month you could do a strip wash in your own machine?

I never added anything to my machine when I stripped my nappies - just plain water and plenty of rinses until there are no bubbles left.
