I know mums who will happily spend hundreds and hundreds of pounds on designer clothes for themselves and their babies, stuffing the wardrobes full of items that will never get worn, and they might have several expensive changing bags and prams and buy the "best of everything".

Nappies and wool and crafty stuff is really all that my disposable income - when i have any - gets spent on. Molly's clothes may be handknit woollies, hand-me-downs and Dunnes clothes, but she's got a designer bum :D We maynot be saving money anymore, but we are still being kind to the environment, keeping WAHMs in business and using lovely fluff instead of chemically plastic nappies!

Im trying to tell :pregnant: SIL how much money she'll save if she uses cloth on her expected LO... :hohoho: :hohoho: :hohoho:

Supporting WAHMs has definitely become important to me since I discovered cloth nappies. And I love the fact that Iris has things that are made just for her and are OOAK. I like that she looks different to other babies. :giggle:

I haven't bought much for Finn but what I have bought is a bit obvious as Connor was only ever in boring bamboozles and MEOS. In saying that, I got a couple of BGs on council incentive, and although my purple Itti stands out from the crowd it was a birthday pressie for Finn from a friend, so didn't cost anything. And I think dh may think my sapphire BBSS is actually the same nappy :giggle: Otherwise I'm sure he'd have to comment. The trouble is that Finn can wear pockets whereas Connor always outwet them, so I can't help making the odd purchase of something more interesting. I do have a bit of paypal to cover a couple more nappies though :D

Emma, you do know about the Leeds City Council incentive don't you? http://www.leeds.gov.uk/page.aspx?pagei ... 5340acf2c8

I dread to think what OH would say if he knew how much I'd spent, but I've sold quite a bit recently and put the money into my account    to make up for some of my spending, I only spend my own money, and it's nearly all PP funded!

WN was the main one. could look at them all day.
