NL classifieds - how long has it been gone?!

Don't shout at me, I know there's a CNT for sale board, but I fancied a bit of a browse for newborn stuff (can hold back no longer!), and see that NL has shut down her classifieds. I haven't been on for a good couple of months, so just wondered how long the classifieds have been shut down for, and if anyone knows if there are plans to get them up and running again...?

It's within last month it shut down i think, saw posts about it, not sure if posts were on here though. As far as i understand there not coming back but i maybe wrong. Think it was all to do with certain people abusing the system i think. I believe people on BC were talking about it all, i don't really go on BC very much now (now i have this place!)

Thanks Nic, was just wondering. I very rarely visit BC cloth board, tried it a few times at the start but I had absolutely no idea what they were talking about, and sometimes found my posts weren't answered - I thought it was because I was asking boring basic newbie questions, but could be wrong. Anyway, it's much friendlier here :D . Will miss the NL ads though, got some good deals there

I never really used the NL, you never know it may come back eventually :?

One site that is quite new is 'the used nappy company' that works similar to ebay. I have sold in the past on there. It was set up after ebay stopped used cloth selling. Maybe worth a look? HTH you :)

Amanda, have you tried posting in the wanted section, you never know who might have what at the back of a cupboard or who's lurking with stuff to sell or just been too lazy to list yet!!

I did sell a few things on the nappy lady. It was great after ebay closed down as it was a place heaps of people went to and they didn't need to be registered. The problem with that however is there was some fraud issues. With the closure of ebay and the nappy lady as places to sell second hand nappies, it has reduced the selling price of second hand nappies.

As well as the used nappy company, this following group has also started up as a place to buy and sell. Not sure what they would be like, but maybe worth taking a look.
