He's too clever by half!

Postby rhiannon » Thu Jul 02, 2009 6:44 pm

Okay I have a child genius on my hands I think! At 7 and a half months he has worked out how to take nappies off - his bumgenius don't last any time at all unless he has a bodysuit on which in this weather seems cruel when he's too hot. He even takes off disposables when I've resorted to those. I've ignored it til today when he took his nappy off during his nap sometimes smeared himself and the cot with poo :giggle: oh my god the mess.

So some suggestions would be very welcome ladies - which are the slimmest popper nappies? Don't care if pockets or fitted. And which are the best popper wraps? He's quite a chunky boy.

Thanks so much!!!

I would say for slimness, you cannot beat Itti Bitti's, but you might want to try something side snapping to try to stop him undoing the poppers - some children have been known to become master of that too, so perhaps a WN side snap pocket.

I've resorted to putting nappies on backwards before... maybe if you make the necessary adjustments to your stuffing/fit, this could work for you?

:giggle: Georgia was always good at this too, though we never had a poo smeariing incident :puke:
I always found side snap pockets best :D

I've had two manic velcro unfasteners so far. I expect No 3 will be the same.

Side snap pockets are certainly the most baby proof pockets. Neither of them managed to get a ME airflow wrap or a weenotions wrap off either.
:puke: to the poo smearing though - not nice.

Lili has recently worked out aplix and front snaps, much to her delight - she's much worse with aplix though (it makes that nice sound ), I have to cover it up or off it comes!

We love our Wee Notions, but if you're looking for something a little more economical, maybe Fuzzis?

I have an anything opener, but once covered with clothes, even shorties the temptation seems to be removed. Nippa's so far remain our safest bet.

now then! my 2 can get out of anything, I have yet to find a nappy they can't get out of, it seems no matter what I do if they want to they will get out of it, and I hve poo smearing at least once a week from one or both of them after nap time :x :x (Amy did it today and gramps had the pleasure of cleaning it all up for me  )

I really can't help I'm afraid, seems nothing works if they are detrermined..
