My first attempt at dip dyeing - I'm surprised how easy it is. I will be using this method more often

I have got these for Lana's birthday. One each for the girls. I'm not sure that I'm going to be able to let them play with them they are so nice.

Personally if I had wool that was fading I'd soak it in vinegar and microwave for 2 mins let them cool then 2 more mins. That should fix the dye. You can always dye them again in similar colours if they have faded alot.
I'm no expert though :giggle:
You need to make sure when you dye and once they have been fixed you need wash out all the excess dye. that way the dye shouldn't fade. I wash mine in synthrapol once its been fixed that takes the exess dye out. I also wash the wool in woolite colour which can only help.

Great dye job. And I love the crowns! I wish Iris would keep something like that on, but she'd just pull it off. :(
