How much is too much?

Postby mabo » Mon Sep 07, 2009 1:17 am

I have fallen in love with a fitted nappy and matching top set but it is (a LOT) more than I would usually spend: £25 - its a very HTF outer fabric
And on top of that, it is newborn size so I KNOW its only going to last about 10-12 weeks AND its not gender neutral at ALL...

My DH would call the men in white if he knew I was even considering buying it, but would you? :hohoho:

I probably would but then I spent £48 on the robots collab which Dexter only wore once as he outgrew it so quickly. I don't think £25 is too much

£25 isn't too bad - you could most likely get most of your money back for it. But then if it's not GN I'd probably not buy it. ;)

I'd buy it! If it's very special it should have a good resale value, or you could keep it as a special set when your LO outgrows it

WSS - just because I'd be gutted if I'd bought the wrong colour. :giggle:

OMG - I think I am going to have to buy it...... I just checked the listing again - its bookmarked and I look at it at least 5 times a day  :giggle: - and just almost had a heart attack when I saw it had been sold  my heart actually skipped a beat, better not tell my DH that happened over a nappy :hohoho:

Luckily it seems it has been restocked elsewhere Image , will just have to wait until it comes live again, then I'll pounce on it as I cant risk 'loosing' it again :drama:

I'd definitely buy it.

I would say don't do it for newborn size... Newborn nappies aren't selling brilliantly at the moment and I've still got newborn ones left, and my smalls aren't shifting at all... I'm often not even making 50% of the new price despite them being in better condition than preloveds I've purchased in larger sizes :? :(

Could you not just ask them to make it as a custom in a larger size?

I wouldn't tbh. I have noticed that GN or boy stuff seems to sell better as well as larger sizes. Completely your choice though. If someone else falls in love like you have than it should sell ok.
