Havnt ever bough either before so dont know where to start!! Would prefer to buy from a WAHM if possible :)

The best wipes cubes I found are Cloth Bums R us soaps, they smell the nicest & don't leave a greasy residue :D

Hi there mama!

I'm new to this forum but I've been around a bit on another US site. I'm an american living in Germany.

We use primarily prefolds and fitteds and only wool.

There's a few wool washes that are great:

Ewe Need It and Northern Essence. I prefer the NE stuff - not sure why but I feel it really lanolizes well and the smells are nice too. I've ordered from bums-n-roses in the UK with great success.

For wipes solution, I just ordered some from Wee Essentials on etsy. She was fantastic to work with and comes from Ohio (where I am from!).

HTH!

Alice

The best wipes solution IMO is a homemade one. I make one from chamomile tea and lavender oil. I'm a fan of Ewe Need It and Northern Essence woolly washes too. I still :giggle: at the name Monkey Farts everytime I see it. :giggle:

About a litre of chamomile tea
A splash of johnston's lavender bedtime bath
a smaller splash of baby oil or almond oil
Few drops of lavender or tea tree oil

I mix it all together in one of those boxes the dispie wipes come in

Add those nice terry/fleece wipes from bumfluff nappies and leave to soak.

I change it every 2-3 days as otherwise it gets a bit mingin'

I find the Ulrich Wool cure is great. It's easy for lanolising. Also so scrumptious lanolin is lovely.

Cheapest ways to do it are a homemade wipe solution of camomile tea, baby bath and essential oils and then I use Olive soap, solid lanolin and baby bath for washing and lanolising my woollies  :D
