It could be she's allergic to fleece... :?
Christine - the lady who used to run bumfluff - had this issue and had to give up using nappies on her son in the end as even non-fleece lined they made him sore... :?

How much bold do you use?

her bums looks like you have scrubbed it with a superstrong cleaner right? that wot we had. It was the bold 2 in 1

if you strip just a few nappies in non-bio and use that once the rash has gone you will know if its bold

this is the tread i started about being allerigic to bold

if its not the bold then it sound like the fleece

wytch, you may be right - her bum does look like that.
i was using bambinex before that as i though it was better for nappys and i had been using ecover liq before that. i switched from ecover because the nappy never smelt clean.
she had what i thought was thrush after switching to bambinex, so then switched to bold.

i cant see if bambinex is bio or non bio,but if its bio im guessing that really is the problem.
oooh fingers crossed it is, dont suppose anyone knows off the top of their head do they?

Someone did a post in the washing nappies bit about not using liquid in washing machines. it basically collectes up and goes minging :puke:
I would try taking the fleece liners out or not using ones with fleece in first. If that doesn't work then try a non-bio, like fairy or something to strip wash them and see if that helps.

Lots of nappy free time, wash bum with luke warm boiled water and my Nana also swears by sudocrem and no other nappy cream (She'll use vasaline in a push)

Some mum's use cammomile tea as a wash for bums, but I don't know if you can use that on a sore bum or not :-?

Bambinex Ultra is non-bio according to this website.

Bella has a really bad reaction to bio powder, which is why all her nappies are washed in non-bio. Her bum was hellish when we tried switching over.

She also has a really bad bum when she's teething.

What kind of reaction did you get from the Bambinex? It could quite easily have been thrush anyway....

thanks for that ,couldnt see it on the packet!

we had the same problems after switching to bambinex,i thought it was thrush coz of raised bits & craters, h.vthought same, till it didnt clearup with thrush stuff. cleared up in sposies on holiday.

oh well, i'll get a super sensitive non bio, re-strip all her nappys & inserts & pray to the nappy gods that its going to be ok.

will also try her unlined nappys, i did try chamomile and honey last time, made a large mug of it & sat her in baby bath -that did soothe it quite alot.

What are you cleaning with - when I tried camomille and honey looking back it fed the rash as it was probably super fungal so I was supplying extra stuff. Ben's bum has been so bad with different probs we got a hospital appointment with a dermatologist, I don't switch to disposables but have found a switch to disposable wipes (just Sainsburys non fragrance) helps as does not wiping and therefore irratating the skin when changing a wet nappy - he only gets wiped for his 1 or more poos a day.

We also have a similar sounding problem with using non bio, so we switched to bio and the redness dissappeared completely, but some rashes still came.

Have you gone to the gp and got a swab taken, most are reluctant but there are some nappy rashes which need oral medication for, but luckily we only had surface medication needed so far.
