Barnsley Council's scheme isn't bad. You get £40 off a BTP pack, you just have to provide receipts. And they're happy to accept year-old receipts from WN! :wine: It's just a really badly publicised scheme, which is such a shame.

Ours is either £10 in three installments (but these have to have proof of purchase, hv signature, and paperwork filled in), or you can use the £30 lot towards purchase at little lamb, but you have to pay up front, then fillin the form they send you then they refund your £30.

It's better than nothing, but they don't promote it very well. When I asked midwife when I was pregnant could I bring cloth into the hospital, she said no and then said she didnt think anyone used cloth any more. The group with the nappuccinos seems to do far more than the council and they recently had the council stop funding the space for their meetings.

Before I was pregnant they gave you 6 prefolds and a ME rikki, but that ran out - although I was allowed to claim it for 2 childminded children, so in a way I got it and they are still in the nappy pile, so got more use than perhaps others did.

Ours did a washing service trial for a month, but, they only provided prefolds, and they demanded you use paper liners, which gave Jaime such a bad nappy rash that DH is utterly against using cloth to this day! I think they have actually discontinued the scheme, though, which is a shame...
