Im on the hunt for......

Postby 123princesssammie » Sat Oct 17, 2009 8:03 pm

A wrap that has PUL that wont cause my little princess irritation around her thighs, this is mainly for when she is in her pram as at home she wears fleece now most of the time as wraps just dont seem to work, and fleece wicks with the pressure of her being in her pram,
i have tried the following with no luck so far

cotton cottoms, bambino mio, bummis whisper wrap, debbies PUL/fleece wraps, nature babies, blueberrys, bearbehinds, umm think think think probs more but i cant think,

do you think a pocketbots would work because it has the FOE around the edge?

PLEASE HELP AS REALLY DONT WANT TO GIVE UP BUT HAVE BEEN TRYING FOR SO LONG

EDITED: i do use pockets a lot too but again with no matter how much stuffing they leak when she in her pram

'stacinator so simple' pul wraps could possibly work. As they are a soaker shape but the waistband and leg cuffs are fleece iyswim.

Alternatively - have you tried stacinator fleece wraps (they are thicker than all of the other fleece wraps we have and may not wick as easily). Have you tried fabric conditioning your fleece wraps to make them more water resistant?

Have you tried doubling up the fleece? I don't use PUL wraps but when Katie is in the sling or carseat I will use a wool soaker and a pair of longies so maybe you wouldn't get wicking with both a thick fleece soaker and a pair of flongies?

I agree with Louise, doubling up is a good idea. We used to get wicking with our pockets (not wraps though) and use fitteds and wool 100% of the time.

Upsy Daisy wraps never left marks on my DD (tots wraps did though) x

My UD wrap has minkee right up to the elastic and seems to leave less marking than straight PUL wraps do. I think someone has a brown one the same in classifieds.
