'some brands give baby bandy legs'?

Postby sammijayne » Fri Oct 23, 2009 3:57 pm

hi
my friend's cousin went on a cloth nappy training thing as she works in a nersary, and lots of the children there are using cloth. apparently it was mostly positive, but they were told that a particular 'main brand' causes babies and toddlers to have bandy legs, due to the extreamley thick fabric between the legs :-? . i dont know witch they were talking about.

does anyone think this is true, i really dont think it is but was wandering what every one else thought? or if youv heard anything similar?

thanks, sam x

What utter twaddle...

ETA: Speaking as a mum of 6 who has used cloth nappies for 16 years, sold them for over 10 years, set up and ran 3 nappy networks and a nappy incentive scheme and was involved with the Real Nappy campaign.

WTS. In actual fact cloth nappies are way better for babies hip development than yucky sposies.

In fact, double wrapping in a terry/other cloth nappy is still a common and very effective treatment for mild hip dysplasia.
