Oh, what a shame :( Have you tried posting in the nappy rash forum? Maybe someone there has some advice?

I'm not sure what advice you have already been given but here is my usual list of culprits:

lycra/elastic in wraps
fleece/minkee etc. inners or liners
detergent (esp Fairy/bio detergent/residue build up)
food/environmental allergy/intolerance (disposables do not allow the skin to breath so toxins to build up internally instead)

and finally because cloth is breathable and disposables are not it is common for babies to get a rash that lasts a week or two when moving from cloth to disposables because all the toxins that have built up in their skin whilst using disposables are released. It takes a while to show up and clear.

Sorry if you have already tried all these things.

I was having trouble with rashes with Archie and it seemed to get better when I washed on 60 degrees all the time (well all the time he has a rash anyhow)

Are you sure the rash is not yeast/fungal/bacterial related? Washing at 60º would stop it becoming re-infected.
