Why do we have to pay so much more for nappies?

Every time I look at nappy reviews online I can't help but notice that cloth nappies are way cheaper in the US than the UK. I understand that a lot are made there and there are shipping costs etc, but sometimes they are almost double the price here! Why?

Because we live in rip off Britain and the government hikes the price of every thing up

Its way cheaper for me to order a WN with embroidery then to get a Australian wahm embroidered nappy :babyrolleyes:

I agree! Alll my stuff is US and with the dollar looks quite cheap but with shipping and customs it pushes the price up to almost equal in £££. So a $5 product can cost £5 in UK when it should cost £3. Having stuff made in the UK can also be expensive - we are looking into a UK factory for the wet bags at the moment - I am hopeful that we will find one that can manufacture at a decent price and match the quality.

I get hit by customs every time - nothing ever gets past them. Stuff from china seems to get in no problem :-?
