Yeah - pretty but practical. I now have so many fitted nappies and use mostly pockets that I won't buy a pretty fitted nappy only to cover it up so it is only wraps and pockets for me. Thankfully Charlotte suits most nappies and we haven't had many problems so we have always bought what takes our fancy :D

nappies (just the nappy bit of a 2 part) practical all the time! I don;t see the point in these handpainted, sequined fitted nappies  they are covered by a wrap anyway and the handpainted, sequins or whatver will never stand up to a 60 wash so they will get ruined!

wraps - both! have to work well but like them to be pretty too! (although a boring old motherease is a good one to have hanging around!)

pockets - mainly practical although I do have some pretty ones (but they are practical at the same time, like wee notions and blueberrys!).

I would never buy something just on looks and certainly wouldn't keep it if it wasn't working for us!

Sometimes i feel abit anxious about putting a preloved nappy up for sale as i think people will think 'god she's selling that on again' but i just will not keep a nappy that doesn't work, no point, need to fund ones that do by selling on the ones that don't.

Practical for me unfortunately, as we've yet to find a pocket that doesn't leak. So the majority of my nappies are boring old bamboozles and MEOS, covered with ME Rikki wraps. I did try to brighten up the wraps with a Tots blue stars one, but it's just an appalling fit on my skinny little man. Still hoping he'll grow into it though

I'll need to buy some new size 1 stuff for #2, but think it'll still be something fairly standard, like tots or little lambs, along with some rikki wraps. Might push the boat out and get rainforest and savannah print ones though  . So many people use ME wraps because of their reliability, wonder why they don't come up with some funkier designs :?

Pretty! I have lots of practical stuff so I now only buy pretty. :D

I like testing new things and if they wick a bit I just use them at home when it doesn't matter. :D

Initially for me it was practical - I started off with a Bambio Mio BTP pack so definately not pretty. When I started to see what else was on offer I quickly became hooked to pretty. But now, have started to sell off many of my pretty nappies to get more practical ones - eg BB Minkis = very pretty, but not very practical for us so I swapped them for HH Onesize, which arent very pretty but very practical!

Well the vast majority of my stash consists of a single purchase of a BTP pack of bamboozles (were unbleached, now not LOL) so, so far definitely practical. I am also gathering a small stash of pretty, (HHs) main reason actually being because they are so slim and therefore good under certain outfits. Also it's easier to promote pretty

I'm the same Sadie - we started with a Bambino Mio BTP pack and while they still get used to stuff pockets and as mopup cloths from time to time they don't get the use I bought them for - and I personally don't think there's much point trying to sell them - might try and sell the wraps though...

For me it is PRETTY every time for daytime nappies! HOWEVER if they don't work or fit right or are a PITA they get sold like the Kanga, all the wrong shape for Isabelle but sold it to Katie and it fits Lockie fine!

We are only in the last few months starting to get wicking with cotton PUL or cotton covered PUL (e.g. weenotions specials and pocketbots plus) but it just means when they are on I boost more or change more frequently...

Night nappies however just have to be practical, I'm not bothered about pretty (altho' I did tye-dye my bambeasys!!) but the woolies that go over are funky though :D

I do have a few practical nappies but they're covered with weenotions funky wraps...
My practical nappies are the bambineo bamboo nappies (tye-dyed by me or bumfluff) and three cotton tots bots (two organic velcro one pink nippa)

When I started buying "proper" cloth I started with huggles for night as lets face it a single padfolded prefold will NEVER last any baby overnight!!
Then got bamboozles and bamboo beehinds, both practical but colourful and outgrown now... And I did used to use Motherease velcro wraps until I discovered the weenotions ones which I would say are just as reliable but waaaaay prettier!! :)

And now my collection is HUGE and very pretty!!

Well have to say practical for me! Boring I know but we just have a very hard working set of MEOS and Airflow wraps. Reliability is number 1 priority, as is simplicity for my DH and nursery!! Have tried a pocket nappy for my eldest son at night - some problems with stuffing.
