Oh I hope they get fixed! Vinegar is used a fixer for animal fibres (wool etc), so it shouldnt affect your nappies. Hopefully a couple of cold washes will get the dye out, maybe some ecover bleach or something might help if the dye is stubborn.

Red dye is notorious for leaking more than other colours, and sometimes just wont shift - I put a tye-dyed muslin in with a load of clothes once and DH's RM shirts ended up a funky purple colour, which didnt really wash out and now they're lilac... :giggle:

My DnF wrap went pink due to the bindings leaking onto the white cotton and I put it in a mild bleach solution (10ml of bleach and 5L of water) over night and its now white again. I also had a similar incident with a pair of blue jeans and a load of white baby clothing. I did the bleach thing and they all came out new looking instead of that dingy blue colour.

Just don't use soda crystals to try to strip the nappies. That WILL fix whatever loose and excess dye particles are remaining. Unfixed and they should wash out. With reds your really need to wash with dark colours until you know they are colourfast, especially for pre-washing.

Thats where I went wrong with the wrap I think. I washed with bio and a spoonful of soda crystals :|

Well I got a run remover from asda, no colour catchers, and they are 95% fixed. The only bit with any pink is the stitching on my FnS outer and the boosters and the label. ANd they are VERY pink. Any ideas on how to get this out or does nylon like to hold onto colour?

Thanks for all the advice, the culpril was the san pro holder bag which was bright pink/red which I didnt realise was in with the san pro, obviously doesnt need washing! Durr!
