Storing Nappies

Postby Natalie » Sun Feb 03, 2008 11:55 am

I have kept most of ambers size 1 nappies all totsbots but i read a post on another site that when you store them the elastic goes! Has this happened to anyone im not planning number 3 till 2010 so they will be stored for a little over 2 years.

Would vacume storing have the same effect?

I'd never really thought about it before, but then all elastic goes. I can remember getting out an old swimming costume once and finding it needed to be thrown out. Be interested to hear what people think on this one.

I think it is the extremes of temperature that are likely to make the elastic perish. So I wouldn't store them in the loft for any length of time for example as I know our loft gets very hot in the summer and very cold in the winter.

But I imagine if you store them in the house they should be alright for a few years anyway, 2010 doesn't seem that far away

Might be wrong though. :?
