Yesterday was a success! No leaks and LO seemed lovely and comfy, only had to change the nappy once in the night and although it was sodden there were no leaks at all - far easier to keep an eye on how may wet nappies too as they actually feel wet. 1st nappy wash in the machine at the moment and I'm trying her in a pop-in - if anything it fits better around her skinny legs than the xs airflow and onelife wraps I used yesterday so fingers crossed. DH is converted by the cost and waste savings - thought he would be fazed by nippas and wraps but absolutely fine.

I won't be getting addicted to buying more :) as we've already got far too many nappies, although I have just ordered 4 more tots bots from ebay for £1.99 each to top up the set to 20. I have pre-loved bumbles when she outgrows them and also some pop-ins for grandparents to use/nursery when she goes etc. Also got a set of one life ones v cheap from a colleague - not sure whether we'll use the nappies whe she grows into them but will definitely use all the wraps.

I tried using a disposable liner, I do have fleece ones but they add too much bulk at the moment. I know they aren't meant to be good for breastfed poo but it worked just fine :)

I've had to put her in 0-3 clothes rather than newborn though - she was getting too long for newborn stuff anyway but with disposables her vests and sleepsuits would have been ok for another couple of weeks. Good job I only bought cheap asda ones!! She looks so cute with a proper big baby bottom!

Now I just need to get started with my washable wipes :)

awwwww! love tiny babies in tots, in fact they're still my secret faves at 8 months old! we still have to nippa the aplix ones though as he isn't very big. i found the liners weren't too great till we had proper poo, we use them now though and it's saved a few from getting mortally stained!

good on you for the cloth, :wine:

u just wait till some cute nappies catch ur eyes....hehe we got ours from ebay too, fab buy in my opinion, look out for the bamboozles in toys r us too at just 19.99 for a day pack. they're fab, dry slower, but are super yummy too.xx

OOH! Keep us posted. The only thing I'm sure of is what to do those first few weeks when baby is little, and when totsbots will fit OK. Can I ask if you're using small wraps or newborn wraps?

I'm using newborn wraps, the small ones are massive on her at the moment.
