The swing-lid bin we used for DD is broken so I need a new nappy bucket for forthcoming young mister, plus having had a chat with DD today, we are going to try to get her back into cloth at least part time.
I'm just conducting a bit of research before I go out and invest in a new one!
You can get an ultra huge nappy bag and use that instead... We've got a Mothercare nappy bucket, cept we've lost the lid But I find that anything more than 1 day of Dawns nappies (granted, they're bigger than NB nappies ) and we're overflowing...
I have 2 of the mothercare bins and a composting bin from B&Q. I wish I had searched a bit more for a bigger bin, but I got one of the mothercare ones 'free' with a bundle of nappies. I don't think I'd like the nappy bag option, as I've left some nappies in one after a day out and occassionally they can leak through.
Wilkinson's do big buckets with lids. We used to use a huge one, now have a smaller version. They look a bit like traditional dustbins (only more colourful) and the lid can be twisted slightly to lock it on. I'd bet on them being far cheaper than Motherdoesntcare too.
