Thats a shame

My hubby still thinks im mad using cloth, but we have some bumgenius (bg) and itti bittis that he doesnt mind using. Mum watches Sandy while im working and she is qquite happy to use cloth. He is my baby and she respects the choices i make in how to bring him up

Thats terrible that they wont try.... My DH was very supportive of the swap and loves the nappies now!

Admittedly he is still not sure about what inserts/boosters go with which nappies, but he does the changes and washes no problem!

Maybe you should put your foot down and tell you mom she has to use what you say? My mom has dylan today and over night until tomorrow afternoon and she just uses what i put in the bag. Funnily though, she did use a WNNL once instead of a WNNN (easy mistake for a rookie I know) and Dylan and his wool were drenched in the morning... bless her!

Thats a shame!

My mum was orginally supportive of the idea of cloth nappies, as she thought I would be using terries and rubber pants, and even bought me some! She used my fitted nappies a few times that she babysat (I put them in the changing bag, she had no choice lol) but then she just started buying her own sposies to use, as does FIL and his wife for when they babysit. I have some sposies for emergencies too, and put one in the bag for when my other MIL takes Molly out, as she says the cloth ones are just far too confusing (pockets?? ) and Ive long since given up trying to convert her.

DH will use them but if he spots a sposie first then he'll use it instead he wouldnt know how to make them up though, and will often ask "does anything else need to go on this?" just in case. He doesnt put them in the bucket either, just leaves them lying around on the floor for me to pick up and deal with, but he's generally happy that he's hardly ever had to buy a packet of nappies!

Same in our house! At least they use them though!
