Fantastic!!

Well washing nappies when you've spent most of your life on a farm birthing animals, a bit of poop on a nappy is nothing!!!! ;op

My PHN thinks I'm absolutely off my trolley. When dd2 was born I had a horrendous time getting her to latch. It took 3 wks to get her to latch on at every feed (not helped by an over enthusiastic midwife with a bottle while I was in the loo :x ) Anywho, the phn kept on saying to me that I'd made a good go of it and it was stressing me out so maybe I should use a bottle. Everytime I see her now she says "You're still breastfeeding??!!" & not in a good way, she seems horrified that I'm breastfeeding past 6 months. The other thing she says is "have you given up on those nappy things yet?" You should have seen her face when I said I'd still be breastfeeding Amelie when she's 5 if she wants to :hohoho: :hohoho:

:giggle: Monsterm, we were in Temple St when DS was tiny and he was being treated for his clubfoot. He had a sposie on cos he'd been in full leg casts and the cloth wouldn't fit. So when we were in and he got the casts removed I took a bamboozle out of the changing bag ready to put on him and the nurse said in a very concerned way " :( Oh don't worry, you don't have to put a towel on him, I'll get you a real nappy from the cupboard!". I was like " :hohoho: No these ARE real nappies"

They treat me like an 'earth mother' at the hospital & show me off to all the other nurses- very embarrasing- just because i use cloth, sling Elsie & was bf....!

Never seen something so funny as watching my pead, a mother of four, attempt to take off/ put on her cloth nappy!!!!! lol!!!

BRILLIANT! I could spend a bit of money on there lol.

The other day at our mums group a lady came to talk about 'eco nappies' lol, she passed some round and people frowned and some were like oh they are pretty, i felt like i wanted to jump up and tell them all that what they thought about it being strange and wrong and that actually no disposables arent better for their babys, i waited then after i went up to the lady (who looked quite used to standing on her own with no questions being asked) i stood there and looked at her nappies and said that we use these, she sort of double looked at me then said "you use reusables, reusuable nappies?!" she looked so pleased, we started talking about the types she had there and she showed me some the council are offering cheap and we discussed how they look a bit thin and naf, she said that i was the first person to say i used them out of three groups in the area, i said about how sad it was that it's so rare, she said that maybe iv made a difference just saying i use them, then later another mum had a look at the leaflet and asked me some questions, i felt really pleased that i went over and had a chat about it, we even got a free teddy lol, i think i might have made that ladies day and possible got another mum interested, it didnt matter about the other closed minded people! very pleased :babyroll: :giggle:
