Cloth Nappy Help

Postby Emmy » Mon Feb 11, 2008 11:10 am

Hello all

Please could you help me. I was convinced by a friend to buy some cloth nappies sometime ago. I have three nappies and four wraps. I only used them once and couldnt afford anymore. My friend said they would sell easily but I am having trouble selling them. Any advice why I have asked for offers and no one has responded. (So far on another site) As cloth users could you help.

many thanks for listening.
xx :)

The second hand value of cloth nappies has fallen over the past year, and it has been harder to sell them now that you can't use ebay. It also depends on what you are trying to sell. Usednappies.co.uk is an auction site for used nappies, you may have a little luck there. I think it is easier to sell med's and larges than the small nappies. You also have the for sale section at the bottom of this forum. Good luck.

Selling nappies is slow at the moment tbh, what sites have you tried?

Best thing i could say is put them on a few different sites, it often can take a while for the right person who see'd your add that wants that specific type of nappy.

What make are they? x

Thanks ladies for your replies.

I have posted on mums on line and the used nappy company.

I have a pink baby beehind, a pink little kiwi, a lilac bamboozle tots bot.
Wraps I have a frilly white one, a wacky wrap lilac with a fairy on bum, 2 x nature babies wraps one gingham pink and one baby pink.

Obviously the baby beehind is the better nappy as it is up to 35lb.

There are no stains or marks, just used once.

thanks for listening.

Can we not convince you to try them again ? ;)

Then you won't need to sell them ... :)

I would also post on here in the sale section - and include pictures...

But like the others said it's a bit slow at the moment...

Personally I find using cloth WAY cheaper than using disposables...

well you know you actually save money by using them  even if you only use them part time - one cloth nappy a day means 365 disposables not going to landfill and a saving of perhaps £50.

otherwise all I can suggest is that you are asking too much for them - did you advertise them with pictures as this always helps.
