Sun and Stains

Postby jules070603 » Fri Mar 19, 2010 11:39 am

Probably a silly question but do the nappies have to be wet for the sun to do its magic?

Some of my pockets could do with some sunning but they are all washed and dried, am thinking I'll try and get them out in the sun for a bit if it'll work with them being dry.

It works much better if they're wet (I've not found it to work very well if dry) - but just dunk them in a bucket or spray them or run under the tap before you pop them on the line they don't have to be fresh from the washing machine ;)

Wet is definitely better, but I just run them under the tap and stick them in the sun for a few hours, especially as you have to make the most of it when it stick its head out

I have a spray bottle I use to keep them damp

Apparently it works on any protein-based stain, and it's good for greasy/oily stuff too.
