Going on holiday nappies...

Postby mellyp » Wed Mar 24, 2010 5:27 pm

What do you do when you're on hols?

We usually go in a caravan or camping, so laundry isn't practical.
Even if we stay with family or go to a b&b/hotel it'd be awkward to use washables...

Does anyone use disps while they're away, if so, which ones do you find the best?

If there was washing facilities I'd take our nappies - otherwise I'd use disposables. I normally get Tesco or Boots own nappies on the occasions we have to use them.

More than 3 nights and no washing facilities I buy Asda Eco disposables.

Anything up to 3 nights or if there are proper washing facilities then I just use cloth as normal!

You need to do whatever suits you though :D

I'm not sure what I will be doing for this year's holiday yet but last year I took my pocket nappies on holiday with us. We had a washing machine in the lodge so it was easy to wash them. Lily isn't a heavy wetter so I used pockets overnight too. I only ever use Nature Baby eco disposables if I have to use them.

We always take cloth nappies and wool when we go on holiday, even when we go camping (in a tent). I've always found campsites have excellent washing facilities and it's never been a problem at relatives, friends, B&Bs or hotels either.

We are going camping for 4 nights this June and i will be taking my cloth nappies :) No washing facilities so just taking 2 big wet bags and our day wet bag :) We went camping twice last year (2 nights each time) and found it no hassle really :)

We took ours with us when we went away last year. 4 nights in a chalet - just took the a bin bag and left it in the bath while we were there - and put it in the roof box :giggle: on the way home.

When we stay at the mil she washes them for me so no probs!

We are going away for two weeks to France this year and i am taking both washables and sposies (boots own)
Hopefully we won't get through too many anyway as if the weather is good dd can live in her swimsuit all day, and just nice nappies to show off in the evening then.
