I would think drying a nappy rash out with talc would make it worse, no? I would use a balm on the skin and consider teething as a culprit (we've found A&P powders work best for all teething related problems) perhaps?

it seemed to work, her bum was so sore she screamed when i wiped her a few weeks ago and since using talc its cleared up dramatically :-? although her back teeth have just come through so maybe its more to do with that and the talc didnt really do anything i dont know

have been trying not to use greasy creams cos all of my liners are wrecked lol and i figured talc couldnt do much harm to baby or nappies, how wrong was i!!

I've not used talc for about 10 yrs as have a mother who panics over all things bad & warned me off it.... Also don't use anything with parabens in it....

The only thing i've ever used on them was when their umbilical stumps fell off & that was Rowen's calcium powder....

Use Little Me Organics which they sell in Boots when i do use anything, Method Baby or Burt's Bees...

I only use Burt's Bees & Northen Essences products on Rufus ... I like NE's Diaper Salve (we have tons of the little sample pots from BnR's and BnB's .. but have just ordered some more from Jabula before everywhere in the UK runs out!
I love Burt's Bees too though, this is talc free and organic etc ... I got mine online here ... http://www.iloveburt.com/burts_bees_collection/baby_bee

I have the NE diaper dust (at least thats what I think its called!) and for soreish red bums I use weleda weather protection cream (its for faces but works amazing on bums).

Bath stuff I either use NE again or halos and horns.
