I put in a sprinkle of washing powder and let it stand for a while then rinse with hot water, the bucket is outside now the weather is above freezing. x

This. I'm not one for bleach and things unless I really have no choice.

I'm wondering if a large wetbag would be the better option though. It'll always be clean. :giggle:

I also rinse mine with boiling hot water and place a muslin in the bottom with essential oil on, clementine is lush

I just rinse mine with hot water too, every so often I'll give it a wipe down with a spray of milton :)

WSS Use Milton Spray plus on a Saturday when I am doing serious housework & DH is looking after the boys I fill will boiling water & some of the Milton Sterilising Solution & let it stand for about an hour.

Once a month or so :oops: I chuck a Milton tablet in for an hour or so then give it a hot rinse with the shower head. The rest of the time I either do nothing or rinse it round with some hot water then put a few drops of tea tree oil in.

Just rinse with hot water here too, and it never stinks (even after being used for nearly 5 years, for 2 kids!)... but I always make sure any poo is thoroughly rinsed off before I put nappies in there.
