Wool or PUL - cooler in heat?

Dexter normally in this weather bimbles round in just his nappy- however hubby is going out with him today and it puttig a wrap on as he'll bein the carrier -

would wool be cooler than pul??

I don't use wool, but I think it would be cooler than PUL, the the moisture evaporates. I'd been thinking of getting some fleece wraps for the same reason.
