I would quite like a JLo bum. In fact, I have a JLo bum, but not the skinny legs!

People are different, we all know that. It's a shame that some people (for example the ones who shoved the disposable in your face) don't just accept that. All my friends know we use cloth, but that because they've seen us change him. We all make choices in life, but it would be better if they were fully informed!

As I said before I don't go about preaching :bf: and extended feeding into toddlerhood, I can't believe how rude other people can be!

People can be very rude- your ones comment to me just made me look at her a bit oddly really- her comment basically meant that unless you're veggie- you don't care about the planet, use cloth or dress your kids in nice fun clothes!!! :giggle:

Bit my tongue & didn't tell her that my fairly mainstream meat eating friend also uses cloth & dresses her kids in fun stuff!!!

My daughter is the only one in cloth at her nursery, and the staff have nicknamed her Jlo - fortunately they seem to do it out of affection and aren't moaning about the cloth. In fact one of them moaned to me last week as she carried out several enormous bags of dirty disposables at the end of the day and I felt rather smug that Sophie hadn't contributed to her load in any way!!

Are you suggesting that parents who use disposables are somehow undeserving of children, or unworthy of looking after them? I find your comments ridiculously offensive. My DD has been in disposables for over a year - she is on medication for bowel issues that results in glue like sticky poo at EVERY change - and yes, disposables are easier for me, and right now it IS best for my family. Am an inferior mother?

Nope, it was a direct reference to the link underneath which you left off your quote. Have you even bothered to look at it?

Here it is again:

The link read like an aside to me. And yes, I did look at it, and it's not my cup of tea but I didn't see anything so dreadful as to inspire a comment like "I wonder why some people bother having children". I tend to save comments like that for people who starve and abuse their kids, not those who dream up amusing technology for parents. I bet if it was manufactured by Apple you wouldn't be so bloody scornful.
