Me too, I know how much I've spent in the last few months so hate to think what I've spent overall.

I would say about £500 ... I try to convince myself it's an investment as we're planning to have more children ... but still
When trying to convince someone of the merits of cloth nappies, I will never again say that it's cheaper than disposables! Not if you get addicted to pretty fluff like I did :giggle:

:giggle: :giggle: I must admit mine was never worth an awful lot compared to some of you! When I built Louis stash it was in the days where wahm nappies were more for a 'special' nappy rather than the bulk of your collection! For example I had about 8 medium Fuzzis which were my work horse nappies from about 7 months until potty training!! I then had a few pretty ones adn special Wee notions and other wahms but they weren't in the majority!

For those of you panicking about the money though, disposibles ae expensive adn over the nappy wearing life of a child they really really add up! As I said I didnt' spend a lot and got a lot of wear out of mine. My newborn collection was a mix of new and 2nd hand (excellent condition from a new cloth friend I found!) and I then sold it on to my SIL so my 1st 6 months of cloth nappying cost me £30 I worked out!!!

I did some research into it over 2 years ago now and even based on the 'average' price of disposable nappies (over all brands and quality) it was still over a thousand pounds for disposables and you can't sell them on after! For those that may not have seen the article in the main sites info pages I compared the cost of dispos to various cloth options, here is the link:

I must update it (like I have time these days  :giggle: )

Also we'll get a fair bit of the money we've spent back once we sell them all on (unlike with disps.) I'll probably get back about 2/3 of what I have spent. ( probably about £2000    )
