I've actualy managed to get hold of some xs thirties fitteds for our new bubs..they look gorgeous. I will deffo try to get some wraps too then. Prefold wise I think the ones I have are cotton bottoms...I know I got some reeeealy tiny newborn ones preloved from the usednappy company but I bought them a bit late and ethan outgrew them...not sure what make they are tho. I've managed to get a few bamboo newborn prefolds too which will be fine for just being tri folded but not so much for nippering...and I do prefer to nippa. When you start buying for new bubs it might be worth you putting wanted posts on classifieds for some prefolds. I also wonder if enough people wanted some ones from america if it would help to do a co-op type thing to spread the postage costs. X

Dont get me wrong ladies I LOVE pretty nappies but im always so broke i just can't do it and even some Preloved are to pricely. we have a super small yet totally perfect stash which i confess is mainly prefolds and nippas. they are perfect and I use them for stuffing our few pockets. now if your want to make prefolds pretty theres always dying them

I have had a blissful time since i posted this, I have shelved the fitteds/pockets for now and have been very simply tri folding a prefold into a flip wrap and im having a great time! :giggle: A line full of white prefolds...simplicity  Infact i just ordered some more prefolds from kittykins and also a couple of thirsties wraps ( a duo and a normal one) :wine:

Never tried pre-folds with Max but just wondering how well they work? Surely they're not absorbent enough to cope with toddler wees?? :-?

Emma, i really like them...i used them with megan on and off , i used to add a booster (bamboo or hemp) to the prefold sometimes for her but as it is at Kierens age we dont need to at all...i can easily get 3 hours out of a tri folded prefold...i love my pretty nappies too but thats about the same length of time! :giggle:

Wow  Max would soak thru one with one of his power-pees in no time :giggle: No way would he go 3 hours in one

Ithink pre-folds are quite effective when folded to work for you with the right wrap Harry had nothing but pre-folds never ever leaked we used 2 at night :giggle: they were just cotton ones so the new bamboo ones must be lovely :D

I'm always happy to take pre-orders on Thirsties if you cant find what you are looking for  The XS are so diddy and squishy arent they. They lasted Max until about 10 weeks I think which was about the same as a XS Sandy's.

Just wanted to mention in this thread that we've had good luck with trifolding in a baby beehinds wool wrap. Leo can't be in PUL all day or he gets a red bum so this is a good option for us right now.
