How many do I need? - Washable wipes!

Silly question I guess but how many washable wipes do I need?

I got sent some freebies (4 lovely fleece and terry wipes!) when I bought a wet bag recently and am looking at getting more as they're sooooooooo much better for Isabelle's skin (newsflash!!) but so far I've just been lazy really...

I tend to wash every 3days or so - do I need 1 for each change (barring poo explosions obviously!) or more?

Please tell me I don't need 50 wipes?!

I can't believe with all your sensitive skin probs you've not been using them   !! I bought 20 on sale and a friend gave me 5 and I'd previously bought anohter 10 so I've got 35 plus Abbys lane sent me a luxury terry 1 plus I've made one when I had some fleece hanging around and thats way too many!! I would say 20 would be more than enough. Mine (bar the terry and the 5 which are old fluffle material) are all just fleece, I know some people find they don't do the job enough on poo but I think they are great, I wipe excess poo off with tissue then sqeeze the fleece and I find it perfect, not too wet, not too dry! It is also sooooo much cheaper than buying the ready made fleece/terry ones, you could even cut liners that are now too small in 1/2 or buy a peice of fleece offcut or something. an old tshirt chopped up would work as well! Cheap flannels from ikea or pound shop etc etc etc! Hope this helps so you dont' feel you need to spend loads of money on them!

We have 30 and we wash every 3 days. I find this is more than enough. We use 1 per change with an extra couple for poo time but that is only once a day so could probably get away with 20 - you don't need to wait for them to dry after washing them

Most of ours are double sided ones from Wee Notions - cotton velour on one side and fleece the other. I really like them but not the cheapest option :(

Well I've got LOADS of fleece hanging around (bought some ages ago before I'd even thought of having Isabelle!!) so I could make some wipes that way...

I know what you mean about not using them being  though... I think I'm just lazy!

Isabelle loves the Minki Wipes - she wants to cuddle and play with them (wet or dry )- gets very cross/upset when I take them away to wipe her with!!

They're 50p a wipe tho' :(

Hi Steph!

I have 10 at the moment, but am still in that nappy honeymoon period where I don't mind washing all the time!!!! Well I have no choice, I don't have as many nappies as you

I am getting on well with them, although will confess when my mate was here today I used a wet wipe cos I didn't want to get in a mess in front of her! Plus I am using them up :D

Let me know how you get on!

Id say we have about 30-40 I got 20 from ebay for a bargain, then another 10 doublesided ones, 5 facewashes, and then some that I've made from fleece that was left over from making nappies (didn't really need them just didn't want to waste the material)

Is fleece (only) any good for wipes?

I've made a few fleece only wipes and they've worked well for us.
