Is 19 weeks pregnant too soon to start a stash??

Hey ladies -

I've just spotted quite a few bargainous things on the nappies-for-sale thread, and it seems a shame to miss them but is it too soon for me to start building a stash?? I'm planning to build it all up from second hand and homemade, so it seems like leaving it to the last minute would be a terrible idea, but not-quite-halfway feels a bit precocious. When did you start building yours?

No not too soon!! I started after my 12 week scan and then gender specific after the 16 week scan

In my opinion, it's never 'too soon' to start buying for a new baby

emm we had our nappy stash sorted by 5 months, or at least what we thought was sorted at the time but then we discovered CNT and realised that there were so many fantastic nappies out there

WeefyWoo - That makes me feel a lot better! We're hoping for a surprise (unless Sprog gives it away at the scan on wednesday ) so I'll be on the lookout for white, yellow, orange or green nappies in particular

Not at all. I bought Poppys first newborn nappies before she was even conceived. I bought more when we found out the sex (pretty ones) and then more after I got my health in pregancy grant because I didn't have Mikes backing to use cloth from birth.

i have some LLs put away for number 2... and were not even ttc

we bought dawns bam mios after our 8 week scan

I hope I get the ones I'm after then They're mostly Little Lambs, Motherease and Onelife fitteds for now, but I am busy dyeing wool and knitting soakers to go over them. Then I get to buy some fabrics and try making my own. Woop!

I got a few while we were TTC, just ones I knew don't come up often & I really wanted, a few more after the 12 week scan & then did the majority after I knew what we were having, if I wasn't finding out I'd have done it all from the 12 week scan onwards, spreads the cost & gives you time to look out for what you want at the best price
