need help deciding

Postby beck » Mon Apr 23, 2007 2:50 am

I want to buy some bamboo so I can make some inserts for my nappies that I'm making and I found this site

bamboofabricstore.com.au

But theres so many different types of bamboo that I'm a little confused
by it all. What do you lovely ladies think would be the best option? They even have 100% bamboo which I would think would take a rediciously long time to dry.

Thanks

i think i read that the reason why bamboo is often mixed with other stuff is cos bamboo is very floopy by its self anf does retain shape well alone, so i would buy either the bamboo fleece which is 30% cotton, cos i know on my bamboo baby beehinds it is super lovely and fab, and very absorbant and slim and stays soft whatever happens, or something that has a little polyester in it.

I read something similar too Shevi - apparently 100% bamboo doesn't wear well at all, hence it's normally a mix with polyester or something.

I've also read that bamboo fleece is the most absorbant - more so than bamboo terry or bamboo velour so I'd probably go with that.

Thanks girls, I was thinking along those lines as well(bamboo fleece), as you said Shevi thats what baby beehinds are made of. Just wanted a second opinion :D
