Isnt it funny how we all love talking about , and reading about babies wee'ing amounts and habits!!
H didnt used to be a heavy wetter , when we started using cloth at 5 months he only had fuzzi's and would have 1 microfibre insert and 1 babykicks hemparoo insert (these are FAB!) for day nappies and 2 of each for night time....this suited us until he was a year old....then i found fitteds!!
All fitteds we used were bamboo of some variety , no cotton , and couldnt use cotton outers either as they would literally drip come change time which i dont like. Mainly used m/l bedbugs during the day or wnnl with the boosters folded to the front to give something like 12 layers....nappy changes had to be alteast 2 hours , never anymore...
Now that H is potty trained during the day i can see just how much he does wee as its going into his potty! 1 wee will normally half fill the potty (its not a small one either its one of the 'chair' ones where you life the actual potty out) so quite alot!
At nights even though he is heavy we've pretty much never had 'problems' as such. Used to use either heavily boosted toddler bedbugs or boosted wnnnv2 's......now we use minkee inner and outer wnnnv3's and recently this week got a PKNN which is fabby too!
Heavy wetting to me was the fact that his nappies would literally drip as i pulled his woolies off , and having to use a new pair of woolies due to them being wet....
Still the journey was fun so dont think id have swapped for a light wetter , as carolyn said having nappies that work gets boring
