What else do i need?

Postby HighlandMum » Thu Oct 07, 2010 2:51 pm

For bumps stash? I dont want to go completely over the top and buy loads of fancy nappies in size small it just seems daft really. Sandy was only 5lb 4oz due to IUGR but he grew sooo quickly and was in large nappies by 5-6 months lol. This baba is on track to be a more "normal" size.

Anyhoo so far i have -

7 teenyfits
1 small itti bitti

12 random small fitteds (tots bots ect)
5 newborn prefolds

1 thirsties duo wrap (on the way)
1 weehugger wrap
3 bambino mio wraps (freebies from Asta :) )

Im also going to use wool so will be working on adding to my wool stash soon :)

Plus i have about 10 btp (easyfits / bgs ect) that will do for either baby.

have you got some accessories to help you out? They're not a neccesity like but some kind of bucket would be good (2 can actually be quite helpful one upstairs and one down) maybe a laundry mesh aswell so you don't have to plunge your hands in old wet nappies, maybe some liners? Wet bag to take cloth out n about :D

you won't like my answer... :giggle:

but I'd wait til baby is here and see how you get on with what you already have then buy more of what works best/trade what doesn't/etc.

You've got a good selection, and it won't take you long to realise what you're reaching for the most. :)

Sorry... (go spend the funds on wool instead!) :giggle:

Daydreamer i already have 1 in cloth (ds has is coming up for 13 months) so i have all the other bits and bobs i need, liners, wipes, bucket, wetbag.....although i dare say it wont stop me buying a few more bits lol :giggle:

Emily nooooo dont say that i want to buy stuff lol. I keep thinking i have prob got almost enough to keep me going for the first wee while anyhoo as i expect to be washing every day with the 2 of them being in cloth.

Maybe i should just stick to going mad on the wool for the time being :hohoho:

I know what you mean though, as I want to buy more too! (and I haven't even started my newborn stash yet- just planning!!!)

You may get away with every other day still, as Sandy won't be using as many nappies, and your newborn ones will be teeny so won't take up as much space. Most of the time I managed every other day, though did have to do the odd few days in a row.
