Advise pls on nappies for a very big 1yr old.

Hi,

My 13 month old is now wearing 3yr old jeans and 2yr old tops/dresses. She's 82cm & about 13kg, so big all round (not just fat, although she has a good big tum).

Having only started cloth at 10 months I now have a good stash but she is nearly out her BTP nappies - Bumgenius, Closeparent popin & Totsbots easybrights. I have some large Blueberry side snaps but I cant get a good fit, they leak! I also have some Flips which I love, but I save those for when we're out and about.

Can anyone recommend some nappies that may last until potty training?

My eldest daughter was a nightmare to find nappies for too! With her I found for pockets .. real easy nappies were a good size also Wee notions large high rise side snap nappies, Mommies touch pockets too
Fitted .. Wee notions northern lights larges & dunk n fluff large, toddler holdens landings

Laceybat, I haven't tried WAHM - I'm probably misguided in thinking they're gonna be expensive! But I will have a look - do you (or anyone) know if there are any in Ireland (it would keep postage down).

I had big babies too and agree about the mommys touch, they are very roomy. Large Upsy Daisy pocket nappies come up very big and Wee Notions high rise pockets are good too. DS2 currently can only wear WNSS (hr) & UDSS because he's so tall & chunky.

My DD is 13 months and just under 12kg, and 80cm long - we find toddler Holdens Landings, Large Dunk n Fluff, large Blueberries and large high rise Weenotions are all a good fit. Some Jimmy Riddles fit well too and I am pretty sure they do an extra large size as well. Luscious Little Somethings also come up quite large as do Heavenly Anarchist (in fact I have one of those I'm selling in classifieds at the moment as it's a bit too big for DD, if you are interested!).

WAHM nappies can be more expensive, but they normally have a good resale value, and you can often pick them up on here preloved which keeps the cost down.

I'm pretty sure Fuzzi Bunz also do an XL nappy which comes up pretty big.

My LO is adverage sized but I've found that wonderoo v1's are on the larger side and I'd have thought that you'd be able to pick some up fairly cheaply to try xx

I think that I'm more interested in pockets, they're just easier - carer & hubby to consider too!
