Prewashing?!!! Whats that? i'm far to impatient! :giggle:

Generally for manmade fibres, one wash is enough and natural upto 10 washes but they're perfectly wearable after 1 or 2..Or if you're impatient like me they get used straight away but changed sooner..

I always wash just once before use then use it and hope for the best

If I remember I change a bit more often for the first few wears but more often than not I never remember what ones are new and what ones are older!

I am so excited I didn't know you could buy cloth at Tesco - just saw a post on another nappy site mentioning Tesco as well. It's good cloth is going mainstream. When I prewashed nappies I did them in each washing load at 40 for a couple of days when H was newborn they never dried just got lots of rinses! Now I think I'd use the nappies after 2 washes perhaps in with my pinks or darks(only if all been washed loads before) and in with my lights at 40 , then wear but perhaps not rely on the absorbancy for more than 2-3 hours. Once it's used it is washed soon anyway so it is washed lots very quickly. Enjoy hope this makes sense Rx

Oh wow Tesco sell cloth nappies! :wine:
I don't prewash anymore, you may as well let him wear it for a little while then stick it in to be washed.
