Cloth in winter

If he is leaking out of his fitteds then i would try to boost those rather than try pockets...we always get leaks with pockets no matter what they are stuffed with...our fitteds are far far more reliable and leak proof!

We have noticed no difference at all. We use a mix of tots bots and motherease with a variety of different inserts/boosters in them.

I have far more problems with leaky pockets than with fitteds. I don't notice it being more of a problem in winter though, its just harder to get fitteds dry! Are you using wool or fleece covers? I find they're the only way for Daragh not to leak (at least, wool longies don't feel wet in the way that normal trousers would)

And don't worry about the sposies, I use them about half the time here because I would need either a bigger wool stash (and I'm a knitter ) or lots of pockets. I have half a dozen weenotions AI2's that just don't work at all so we can't use them

I also find fitteds far more reliable and I don't use pockets for that reason. I tried many pockets but gave up on them as with 2 LO's in them I can't be carrying all the extra changes

I haven't noticed much difference TBH - but then I routinely change Katy every two hours or so because she wees for England. The problem I have is that we only have a washer/dryer. The dryer cycle is rubblish (tends to make things hot and damp) and eats electricity so I only use it if I NEED something dry. I don't like drying washing hanging all over the house but unfortunately I don't have much choice at the mo. Still, at least its a good excuse to buy more nappies!

I didn't notice any difference last year - just super boosted her nappies all the time - and used the thickest woolies I had

Not really noticed a difference in that sense but the drying is a bit of a problem...a tiny problem really as we have fantastic stairs that you can hang everything on...and a naughty tumble dryer, we only wash once a week with no problems so it's not so bad.
The only real issue is tights and I like to put sleepsuits under her clothes to keep her feet covered (socks fall off) and her legs doubly warm, the sleepsuits are getting a little 'cloth nappy small' so this can be a pain, sometimes the tights make the older more worn out nappies wick.

I'm loving how she can sit down quite happily on the cold stone floor in the kitchen without getting a cold bum, 10 points to cloth!
