Back in cloth!

Postby zippie-purple-monkey » Mon Jan 03, 2011 2:33 pm

Not giving up cloth in favour of chemical free disposibles, just cant do it! His bum looks so small and sad, and the disposibles smell. So back to mothercare they go! Just going to buy more pockets!
I love cloth too much, how sad!

Last time I checked you could get Moltex from the NCT online shop, and ethicalsuperstore.com. HTH.
PS - we like Wonderoo v1s as well

But I think I'm right in saying that Moltex do have chemicals in - not certain, so check, but I'm almost certain they do.. The Bambo nature ones don't and cushie tushies I think, but most, if not all the rest do. Don't know where you can bulk buy though.

Neither Moltex or Bambo nappies have chemicals although both still have the nasty gel albeit in smaller amounts than other disps. The only gel free nappies are Tushies I believe.

ETA have bulk bought nappies from Spirit of Nature before.

Yes Louise is right it's just Tushies without the gel. I would recommend trying a couple of these before buying a whole pack as I don't know anyone who's tried them and found them any good (poor absorbency). NatureBotts do sample packs I believe.
Bambo and Moltex are the most popular 'eco' brands but there are some supermarket ones around now which may be just as good but you'd need to check their eco credentials first.

Presume you mean Nature Babycare ones, which aren't gel free, but don't contain plastic. The gel is more securely tucked away than in most nappies though. I have some old packaging NB ones on offer ATM, but unless you are near, shipping makes them not that much cheaper than normal. Will PM you!
