What fleece soakers and wool shorties are for?

Are they simply to be used instead of a nappy wrap? They're not waterproof though?

Yes they are used instead of a wrap. The shorties/longies will be lanolised.

Wool is lanolised and also allows some of the moisture to evaporate, it is great. I am a massive fan of fleece as well x

As far as I know, fleece and wool are ok over everything. As long as you nipper the terries so that they sit tightly on the baby, I dont see why you wouldnt be able to use fleece or wool.
I am plannign on using some prefolds with the fleece soakers that I have made

If you have got a sewing machine, fleace soakers are really easy to make and you use very little fabric so can get a fair few from a metre of fabric
