Strip wash after a rash?

Postby HighlandMum » Mon Jan 31, 2011 10:49 pm

Sandy has been in sposies the past couple of days because he had bad nappy rash and i wanted to use a cream on his bum. Anyways, a couple of days in sposies with metanium cream has done the trick and its 95% cleared up now.

Should i strip wash his nappies before i start back in cloth again? I had used some sudacrem with fleece and paper liners in an atempt to help the rash before i gave in and bought some sposies so im guessing a strip wash wouldnt do any harm? The rash had been coming and almost going for a while so im going to wait a couple more days until its 100% clear before i stop treating with cream.

Thanks :)

Not sure if it necessary but any time we need a break from cloth for whatever reason, I do a strip wash. Just take advantage of having all your nappies stripped while they are not in use.
