First nappy dilemma

I've packed Teenyfits and Lil' Joeys in my hospital bag, but I'm now wondering whether to use a fitted as we have a gorgeous Starbaby one DH bought, in owls on the line, and I'm using that fabric for bump's first sleepsuit, or I could make a very special fitted myself. I'm concerned though that topping a fitted with pul, wool or fleece will be too bulky for a newborn, too warm in a hot hospital and also more challenging for DH. What has everyone else done/planned?

First nappy on Grace was a simple nippa'd white bimble with a weenotions XS wrap

I'm still undecided but it will definitely be a fitted with wool soaker over the top. It depends on what I decide will be her first outfit really.

Do you mean the first nappy after birth or going home? Going home it will be an OWW fitted with rainbow longies x first nappy either a OWW and soaker or a teeny fit x
