my reasons started off purely as money saving. i hated spending so much on disposables to only throw them in the bin the next day. so i reasearched got some functional nappies that did the job and i thought would last multiple children.
(dh had been nagging me to use cloth since before birth for environmental reasons... we didn't start until 6 months when i was much more money conscious)
we were also struggling to fit everythign in the ever-decreasing-sized bins that we're allowed to use, so using cloth definitely helps there.
but then dd came along and i needed some small nappies and i went from someone who didn't get pretty fitteds to someone that quite likes them
plus the original functional stash went bare in patches while in storage
so even when she was big enough to fit in them i had to buy more.
i like taking off her togs and having something pretty on show... even though i'm aware that most people don't get cloth let alone pretty cloth. i like not having to buy sposies. i like not having to buy wipes. i actually get a buzz from having nappies hanging on the line on a sunny day
and i love that cloth doesn't either leak or smell.
and i love love love getting new soft squishy fluff .... even though i know it'll be hard and crunchy in a few days thanks to our disgusting water.
