I think it's from using washing powder and bio washing powder that aren't recommended for wool washing as they will destroy wool either due to high alkali ph or enzymes in bio. I always use washing liquid or powder with a woolmark for anything wool. If you email me we can see about replacing in the next batch though.

very interesting. I didn't know that. My owl nappy is perfect but I have been using my own washing detergent on it.

My one has lost an awful lot of the blue too but it still works absolutely fine so doesnt bother me (plus its a night nappy so no one sees it). I hadnt realised that about the detergent.
