How many kids in nappies would you have in cloth?

Postby clothmama » Sun May 20, 2007 9:14 am

I was just wondering what everyone would do if you had multiple kids in nappies - would you still use cloth? I know Cat had 2 full time and 1 night time at one point (I think!). Twins? 3 or 4 in cloth?

I think I would still use cloth no matter how many I had in cloth, it would in some ways be easier as you would just have to do a wash every day!!! Imagine the money savings too!!!

I'm pretty sure I'd use cloth no matter how many, especially as I have quite a few one-size nappies. Anything that reduces having to make a decision could only be a good thing! In theory that'd mean not having to spend too much on new nappies too, if you do a daily wash, so great financial savings as well as environmental ones. You haven't got a secret little multiple bump growing there have you Tory :?:

I really think I would do it even with twins. I have tried to persuade a guy at work who is expecting twins but he says it would be too difficult, but I can't see that it is much more work than with one. You would just wash more often and I have seen loads of people with twins successfully use cloth - including a couple I spoke to at an antenatal class demo I did who went on to try them.

I think 3 children might be the limit as then you may have more than one load a day but then it seems unlikely that I will have more than one in cloth unless we get a move on or have twins

I don't think there would be any going back now, I love cloth too much :D :D I do still have Soph in a night nappy, she wears a large fuzzi for bed, does that count as 2 in cloth?

I think 2 or 3 in cloth would be okay, surely one would be nearly ready for potty training unless you had really short gaps! Changing cloth isn't any harder than changing dispies and as others have said the bin situation would be horrendous!

Ooohhh I've never thought of this! I always thought (or hoped) that we wouldn't have another bubs until Lily is (or nearly is) toilet trained, so I wouldn't have to consider two in nappies  But if I did I couldn't go back to disposies ever- all my good saving the planet work would go to waste
